I completed my Ph.D. in May of 2015 at Rice University in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. I am a member of the Rice Networks Group and my advisor is Dr. Edward Knightly.
I am a wireless networking researcher with a concentration in the development of novel, Cross-Layer, Multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) techniques. My current focus is the exploration of UHF-band MU-MIMO systems. Because my research is based on the implementation of these types of systems, I also specialize in Software-Defined Radio (SDR) development with the WARP SDR in conjunction with Skylark Wireless's WURC daughtercard.
Currently I work as a Research Scientist at Cisco Systems as a part of the Forward-looking Analytics, Software, and Technolgies (FAST) program. As a member of FAST, I conduct industry-focused research in collaboration with academic university partners in areas including network security, IOT, cloud/fog computing, and software services. The primary deliverables from our team include papers, patents, and proof-of-concepts.
